Yes, you can make local calls and send/receive SMS. 1100 SMS -or- 500 call minutes (worth in credits). You can always top up your account, though we mostly recommend that people use this as a way to sign up for accounts, more than using it as a day to day service.

When making a call or texting through the app (provided by Hushed), the recipient sees ONLY your phone number as the Caller ID - just like any traditional number. Rest assured that your real phone number from your SIM card is always completely hidden and cannot be traced back to you.

Your number and username is kept separate from your real phone number since the app runs solely on WiFi/data - meaning your activity on the app (numbers, calls, texts, your email, etc.) is kept private and will never show up on your phone records or carrier bill (unless you forward calls to your normal number.)

If you have a US or CAN number, you can call numbers within those countries. You can't call outside of those countries with the plan we purchase for you.

Please be aware that these numbers CANNOT be used for emergency service calls (e.g. 911)

In the case of an emergency, please use an alternative phone service to access 911 or other emergency services.

All numbers available for purchase can receive incoming local calls just like a traditional phone number, via an app!

Once we setup a brand new account for you, we will change the email address on the account to your email address and ask you to change the password once you login. After this we no longer have access to your account, as it is linked to your email address. We will guide you through this and can provide support should you ever need it.
